It's made from GOTS-certified organic cotton, grown without the synthetic pesticides that conventional cotton farming heavily relies on — conventional cotton occupies roughly 2.5% of the world's farmland yet accounts for close to 16% of global insecticide use. Skipping those chemical inputs makes for a fabric that's noticeably softer against skin right out of the wash and genuinely breathable, which matters in a loose, boxy cut meant to move air rather than trap heat.
