The Cause Behind This Piece
The Cause Behind This Piece
10% of every Black Sleep Tee purchase funds ocean conservation. We're still finalizing which specific nonprofit this style will support, and we'll say so directly on this page the moment it's decided, the same way we do for every KeAloha piece. We'd rather tell you what we don't know yet than make something up.
The Black Sleep Tee is the crewneck you put on the second real clothes come off. Cut with a relaxed, non-clingy fit through the body and sleeve, it's roomy enough to move in without feeling like you're wearing a costume to bed. The deep black colorway means it never looks tired, even after months of nightly wear and wash — no fading halos around the neckline, no dinginess creeping in over time.
It's made from GOTS-certified organic cotton jersey, grown without the synthetic pesticides that conventional cotton farming relies on heavily; conventional cotton occupies about 2.5% of the world's farmland yet accounts for nearly 16% of global insecticide use. Choosing organic cotton for a piece worn directly against skin for eight hours a night is a deliberate trade-off in favor of cleaner farming and cleaner fabric. The jersey knit itself is soft from the first wear, breathable enough to prevent overheating, and substantial enough to hold its shape instead of stretching out at the collar.
Machine wash cold, tumble dry low, and this tee will keep its softness and its black long after cheaper cotton tees have gone gray. As with every KeAloha product, 10% of this purchase funds ocean and wildlife conservation, so even the most unglamorous part of your day — bedtime — is quietly doing some good.
