The Cause Behind This Piece
The Cause Behind This Piece
10% of every Black Track Jacket purchase funds ocean conservation. We're still finalizing which specific nonprofit this style will support, and we'll say so directly on this page the moment it's decided, the same way we do for every KeAloha piece. We'd rather tell you what we don't know yet than make something up.
The Black Track Jacket is built for the fifteen minutes before the whistle blows — the warm-up laps, the dynamic stretches, the sideline huddle. Its full-zip front lets you vent heat fast once your body's ready to go, while the ribbed collar, cuffs, and hem keep cold air out during the wait. The relaxed athletic fit layers easily over a tee without feeling bulky, and the classic black colorway means it looks as sharp on the field as it does thrown over jeans afterward.
This jacket is made from recycled polyester (rPET), spun from cleaned and melted-down post-consumer plastic bottles rather than virgin petroleum. That process uses meaningfully less water and energy than producing new polyester from scratch, while keeping plastic bottles out of landfills and waterways in the process. The rPET fabric is moisture-wicking and durable enough to handle repeated warm-up drills, travel days, and everything in between, so it holds its shape and performance long after a virgin-polyester equivalent would start to break down.
Machine wash cold, hang to dry to preserve the fit and ribbing, and avoid high heat that can degrade recycled synthetic fibers. As with every KeAloha piece, 10% of your purchase funds ocean and wildlife conservation, so the same plastic that once threatened marine life is now helping protect it, one recycled jacket at a time.
