They're built from recycled rPET, a fabric spun from cleaned, melted-down post-consumer plastic bottles instead of new petroleum-based polyester. Choosing rPET over virgin synthetic fiber means a meaningfully lighter water and energy footprint, plus it keeps plastic bottles circulating as fabric instead of piling up in landfills and waterways.
