The Cause Behind This Piece
The Cause Behind This Piece
10% of every Charcoal Windbreaker purchase funds ocean conservation. We're still finalizing which specific nonprofit this style will support, and we'll say so directly on this page the moment it's decided, the same way we do for every KeAloha piece. We'd rather tell you what we don't know yet than make something up.
Charcoal keeps the Windbreaker versatile enough for an overcast trail hike, a soggy commute, or a stadium afternoon when the weather can't decide what it wants to do. The lightweight, wind-resistant shell blocks the chill without adding bulk, the full-zip front lets you vent quickly once you warm up, and the adjustable hood cinches down when the wind picks up. It's a grey that reads more premium than practical, even though it's built entirely for practicality.
The shell fabric is rPET, recycled polyester made from cleaned, melted-down post-consumer plastic bottles that would otherwise sit in a landfill or wash into a waterway. It holds up to repeated wear and weather while requiring a fraction of the water and energy that virgin polyester production demands. That means the jacket you're relying on to cut the wind is also doing its part to cut down on plastic waste.
Machine wash cold on gentle and hang to dry — skip the high heat to keep the shell's wind resistance intact. Every KeAloha purchase, this charcoal shell included, funds ocean and wildlife conservation at 10% of the purchase price, turning a practical layer into a small act of stewardship.
