It's built from recycled polyester, spun from cleaned, melted-down post-consumer plastic bottles instead of virgin petroleum-based fiber — a process that uses meaningfully less water and energy than making polyester from scratch, while keeping plastic out of landfills and waterways. That recycled fiber performs, too: it's moisture-wicking against light sweat or drizzle and durable enough to handle daily zipping, layering, and the general wear and tear of an outer layer in heavy rotation.
