The Cause Behind This Piece
The Cause Behind This Piece
10% of every Deep Teal Track Jacket purchase funds ocean conservation. We're still finalizing which specific nonprofit this style will support, and we'll say so directly on this page the moment it's decided, the same way we do for every KeAloha piece. We'd rather tell you what we don't know yet than make something up.
Salt air and a stiff onshore breeze are no match for the Deep Teal Track Jacket, the layer built for the walk back from the water. Zip the full-length front up against the wind the moment you're out of the waves, and let the ribbed collar, cuffs, and hem lock in warmth while you towel off. The relaxed athletic fit gives you room to move over a damp rash guard or wetsuit top, and the deep teal colorway is a nod to the water you just came from, without trying too hard about it.
This jacket is made from recycled polyester (rPET), created by cleaning and melting down post-consumer plastic bottles rather than drawing on new petroleum. That process demands meaningfully less water and energy than producing virgin polyester, and it diverts plastic waste that would otherwise end up in landfills — or worse, in the ocean itself. The fabric that results is moisture-wicking, quick-drying, and durable enough to handle salt, sand, and sun without breaking down.
Rinse off, then machine wash cold and hang to dry — high heat isn't this fabric's friend. Every Deep Teal Track Jacket funds the same mission behind all of KeAloha: 10% of your purchase goes directly to ocean and wildlife conservation, a fitting cause for a jacket that's spent its post-surf life keeping you warm at the water's edge.
